New analysis has highlighted the challenge around opportunities for young people in Doncaster.
Centre for Cities says 17% of Doncaster's 16 to 24-year-olds were recorded as not in education, employment or training at the time of the 2021 Census.
That puts Doncaster alongside Barnsley, Bradford and Middlesbrough, which also recorded 17%. Only Blackpool recorded a higher proportion, at 21%.
The figures are based on the 2021 Census and do not represent a measurement of Doncaster's position today, but they highlight the importance of creating good jobs, training and opportunities for local young people.
The analysis points to more jobs, better training and better transport as the areas that could make the biggest difference.
