A faulty vape battery is believed to have caused a house fire on Abbeydale Road in Sheffield which led to disruption on one of the city's busiest routes. Firefighters were called after the blaze spread to clothing and other materials inside an attic bedroom. Three fire engines attended and crews used a hose reel to bring the fire under control, while police and ambulance crews were also at the scene. The incident is not believed to have been suspicious.
