A long-running Legionella problem at a social-housing complex in Rotherham is continuing to receive attention from public-health officials.
Rotherham Council confirmed last month that the complex is privately managed rather than owned or operated by the council.
The council's Public Health team is working alongside the UK Health Security Agency and the housing provider.
Extensive work has been carried out on the site's water system, including chemical treatment, removal of redundant pipework, additional insulation to reduce heat transfer, and removal of an external pond and water feature.
The work has significantly reduced Legionella levels.
However, at the latest public update on Wednesday 9 September, the council said further work remains ongoing.
