A man who police say groomed an underage girl online before travelling to Doncaster to meet her has been jailed.
South Yorkshire Police says Martin Norton, 32, began speaking to the girl through social media and manipulated her into believing he was her boyfriend.
Police say Norton travelled from Newcastle to Doncaster and booked hotel rooms while continuing to abuse the girl.
He was sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court to nine years in prison.
He was also given a 25-year sexual harm prevention order and a 25-year restraining order, and will remain on the sex offenders register for life.
Victims of sexual offences are entitled to lifelong anonymity.
