Rotherham Council has introduced three high-street advisers to work directly with traders and businesses across the borough.
The team will act as a regular point of contact on issues including street safety, cleanliness, events, promotion, footfall and access to grants. The advisers are working across Rotherham town centre, Maltby, Dinnington, Swinton and Wath and will also help businesses access the council's shopfront grant programme.
The council says the aim is to give traders practical support while coordinating work designed to bring more people onto local high streets.
