South Yorkshire Police have issued an appeal to find Cornelius Smith, 39, from Doncaster.
Smith is wanted on recall to prison in connection with a theft conviction after breaching the terms of his licence, police say.
The force says it has carried out numerous enquiries in its search for Smith, including checking addresses linked to him.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact South Yorkshire Police.
