Six South Yorkshire Police officers were assaulted while responding to three separate incidents over the weekend, the force has said.
Reported injuries included scratches and abrasions, concussion and suspected ligament damage.
During one of the incidents, three ambulance workers were also assaulted.
Two people have been charged with assaulting a police constable, and investigations continue.
The force says violence towards emergency workers should never be accepted as simply part of their job.
